Flexibility When You Need it Most

Skip Your Payment

When you finance a loan at Allegiance, you have the ability to skip your loan payment twice a year if needed.

Qualification details:

  • Account must be in good standing
  • Minimum monthly payment greater than $100
  • Loan payment cannot be more than 10 days past due
  • Have at least one payment applied since last skip (can't skip two months in a row)

The Skip-A-Payment option is available in online banking and the mobile app for consumer auto and personal loans, excluding balloon loans, first or second mortgages, home equity lines of credit, consumer lines of credit, FastCash loans, or certificate of deposit loans.

All Skip-A-Pays are subject to Allegiance Credit Union approval. Eligible loan(s) must be established with at least one payment made, and current, with no amount past due.

By participating in Allegiance Credit Union’s Skip-A-Pay program, you request that Allegiance Credit Union defer your loan payment(s) as indicated. You agree and understand that:

    • Finance charges will continue to accrue at the rate provided in your original loan agreement.
    • This extension will extend the maturity of the loan(s) by one month(s) beyond the current scheduled maturity date.
    • Interest will continue to accrue on the unpaid balance, and the final payment may be larger than originally disclosed due to the additional interest.
    • You will be required to resume your payments the following month.
    • A finance charge of $40 will be deducted from your savings or checking, or added onto the loan balance, per your choice at the time the request is made.
    • If you choose GAP, Warranty or Debt Protection Coverage, some products and/or insurance may alter the term and/or amount of coverage. Refer to your documentation or contact your coverage company for verification.
    • If you have an automatic payment scheduled from a Financial Institution other than ACU, you will need to make arrangements with them to cancel the payment prior to its processing. This can take several business days, depending on where your payment is debiting from.

* Ineligible loans include all balloon loans, first or second mortgages, home equity lines of credit, certificate of deposit, and FastCash loans. Additional restrictions may apply. The Skip-A-Pay program is subject to change at any time. Contact us for complete details.
