Shred Day Events Announced for Summer 2010
Allegiance Credit Union will host three Shred Day events this summer at the credit union’s Edmond Branch on Saturday, July 31, at the Main Branch on Saturday, August 14 and again at the South Branch on Saturday, September 25. All events will be from 10 am to 1pm. Members of the credit union and the local community are invited to drop off up to five standard boxes of paper records, statements, and files for destruction and recycling.
Partnering with Absolute Data Shredding, Allegiance is committed to protecting our members from identity theft and helping fight fraud all while preserving our natural resources and recycling. All post shredded material is recycled which allows Allegiance another opportunity to "Be Green." Once the paper is shredded it is sent to Muskogee, Oklahoma and made into Angel Soft Tissue Paper. Last year Allegiance was able to recycle over 22,000 pounds of paper.
“It is important for people to recognize that they need to dispose of financial and other personal records properly. This event gives the community the perfect opportunity to have old statements and documents securely destroyed and recycled. At ACU we are committed to supporting our members and local communities and we are pleased to offer programs like Shred Day,” said Allegiance Credit Union’s CEO Lynette Leonard.
In addition to Shred Day, Allegiance will also be serving hot dogs to the community during both events as well as giving away prizes and information on the credit union.

When you travel out of the state or country with your Allegiance Check Card please ask the Allegiance Call Center at 405-789-7900 or 1-800-505-3328 option 0 to make a note about the dates and places you will be traveling. If traveling with your Allegiance Credit Card please call 1-800-558-3424 and if outside of the United States call collect 701-461-1556.
For your protection, Allegiance monitors your debit and credit cards for fraud. If the system identifies transactions that seem different from your normal activity, we will contact you by phone for verification. If we can’t reach you, we will leave a message. In some cases, where the activity is suspicious, a temporary block may be placed on your card to prevent anyone from using your card fraudulently. By asking us to place a note on your account prior to your trip, you ensure continued access to your account. By providing your cell phone number, you ensure we can reach you if we have concerns about your card.

Federal lawmakers have created new rules governing overdraft protection programs that go into effect on July 1, 2010. As a result, you now have an option concerning whether you want to continue to have our overdraft service cover your ATM and everyday debit card transactions. Please take note that this new rule applies only to ATM and everyday debit card transactions and does not pertain to overdraft protection service associated with written checks or recurring debit transactions, such as regularly scheduled bill payments.

Effective August 1, 2010, Allegiance Credit Union's hours will be changing. The lobby will be open Monday-Friday from 9am to 5pm, the drive-thru will be open from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm and our drive-thru hours on Saturday will remain the same, 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. After closely monitoring our lobby and drive-thru, we are changing our hours to match the traffic flow of our members. Your credit union efficiently manages expenses so that you, as an owner of ACU, continually receive the best member service, low rates and superior products.
Tell Your Debt to Take a Dive This Summer
Begin a new Debt Management Plan with Consumer Credit Counseling of Central Oklahoma this summer and Oklahoma Credit Union Foundation will pay your $40 set up fee and first months fee. (up to $35)

We will need:
- A copy of your insurance estimate
- A copy of contractor estimates / invoices
- A signed affidavit (provided at the Meridian Branch)
- The insurance check endorsed by the members listed on the front of the check
Once we have the above listed information, it will be reviewed by one of our Mortgage Servicers.
It is suggested that you contact a Mortgage Servicing Specialist to set up an appointment to have your insurance check processed.

Allegiance now offers the Visa TravelMoney Card
The Visa TravelMoney Card is a prepaid reloadable card that carries a cash amount determined by the cardholder up to the maximun amount of $5,000. It can be used everywhere Visa is accepted and can be used to obtain cash from ATM's nationwide. Each time it is used the available amount is deducted from the balance. The card can be reloaded at any participating financial institution that displays the Visa Ready Link logo. This card is great for your upcoming vacation travels this summer! Discount Six Flags, Froniter City and White Water Bay Tickets at Allegiance
Allegiance Credit Union now has discounted tickets for Six Flags over Texas, Silver Dollar City, Frontier City and White Water Bay. Prices for Six Flags are $27.75 for regular admission and $54.75 for a season pass. Silver Dollar City prices are $54.00 for an Adult ticket and $44.00 for a child's ticket. Season pass prices are $78.00 for an adult and $68.00 for a child. Frontier City and White Water Bay prices are $18.25 and Season Pass tickets are $66.00.Visit any of our locations to purchase these tickets. Froniter City is scheduled to be open April 17th and White Water Bay will open May 14th.
